s/o Martin J. & Ernesteine A. (Schedler) Strobel. h/o Anna Marine Claussen, 1922, 2nd Mary Ellen Mc Mahan, 1939. Family states a second middle name of Alfred, birth and death certificates do not support a second middle name, still looking. WW II Draft Registration shows name as Alfred Herbert Ernest Strobel. Grandfather became Herbert Ernest Strobel. This is the only document that I found Alfred on, October 2023.

Funeral services for Herbert Ernest Strobel, who resided at 525 W. Palm Ave., were held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hawthorne, Friday, April 12, at 1 p.m. Bishop Paul Vidmar officiated.
Mr. Strobel died April 10 in an Inglewood hospital at the age of 65. He was born in Mankato, Minnesota, and had lived in the vicinity for four years.
His survivors include his wife, Mary Strobel; a daughter, Evelyn Fontain, Redondo Beach; two sons, Eugene of Torrance, and Walter of Oregon; three stepchildren; 25 grandchildren, four great-grand-children and a brother, Fred Strobel of Minnesota. Interment was in Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach.
