Mrs. Allison Dies; Rites To Be In Havre
Gertrude Rose Allison, 72, passed away in Whitefish this morning.
Mrs. Allison was born Jan. 12, 1891, in Helena. She spent her childhood in Big Sandy and Fort Benton. On Feb. 28, 1918, she was married to Earl M. Allison in Great Falls. They made their home in Big Sandy and later in Kremlin. In 1920 they moved to Havre, residing there until moving to Columbia Falls in 1955, where Mrs. Allison had made her home since.
She was a member of the Eastern Star in Havre and of the Kremlin Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Allison was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, in Aug. 1957, and is now survived by four sons, Ray Allison of Columbia Falls, Earl of Havre, James and Morris Allison, both of San Francisco, Calif.; and one sister, Jane Ehrenphfort of Vallejo, Calif.
The body is being forwarded from the Catron Funeral Home to the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home of Havre, where services will be conducted.

Gertrude is a couple of years older than her sister Iris. She is listed in the 1900 Census as born Feb 1896. Her grave marker says
1897 - her obit says Jan 1891. The census was taken in June of 1900 and also listed her age as four. That does not prove she was born in 1896 - but I do believe she was.
