Mable Baxter Tutterow, 85, of Athens, died Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 24, 2002, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
A native of Rutledge, she was a daughter of the late Mark A. and Carrie Alice Henley Baxter and was associated with Athens Hosiery Mill for 30 years until her retirement. She was a charter member of Wildwood Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Curtis Tutterow on March 4, 1993; one sister, Virginia Brown; and three brothers, J.D., Edgar and Jack Baxter.
Survivors include one son, Ross Tutterow of Johnson City; one grandson, Scott Ryan Tutterow of Indianapolis, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Jerry Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Vest officiating. Burial will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens.
