Bob graduated from Cyprus High School. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and his Master's degree from BYU. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church. He served a mission to Chile. He served as mission president to the Guatemala El Salvador Mission, also as a stake president of the Salt Lake Jordan Stake. He was a member of the Young Mens general board and was serving as Bishop in the Jordan 1st Ward at time of death. He served on the Granite District Board of Education for nine years. He was employed by the Church Educational System.

Bob loved fishing, hunting, camping sports and spending time with his family. Dedicated his whole life to the service of the Lord and to teaching and serving others. Few men have had such a profound rightous influence on everyone he came in contact with. Bob was loved and is greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his family.
