Mrs. Ina Beatrice HOOTEN, 76 of 311 Prentice Dr., New Carlisle, Ohio died at 3 am Tuesday, June 6 in Mercy Hospital following three months of serious illness. She was born on March 6, 1896, in Windsor, Illinois, the daughter of William S. and Henrietta Frazier FITZWATER and had resided in Clark Co. for 31 years. Mrs. HOOTEN was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Leader of the women's group for over 20 years, President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of World War I, Springfield Barracks and Junior Vice President of the Ladies Auxiliary Department of Ohio. Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Orval HOOTEN, State Commander, Ohio Veterans WWI; three sons, Harold of Michigan, William of California and John of Urbana, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. One son, Charles preceded her in death. Her body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home where friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday. Services will be held at 9 am. Thursday in the memorial home in charge of the Rev. Gene Porter. Her body will be taken to Gays, Illinois for graveside services in the Brenchside Cemetery there.
