Rev. James Floyd, 77, of Henderson, formerly of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007 in Jackson.
He was a minister having pastored several churches and was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Henderson and a veteran of the Merchant Marines.
Services were at 7 p.m. Sunday at the First United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Chris Tharp and the Rev. Brent Rashall officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Leon Johnson Funeral Home in Henderson was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Floyd of Henderson; a daughter, Sherry Diane McClenney of Whitehouse; two sons, James Michael Floyd of Henderson and Jerry Nell Floyd of Dyersburg; two sisters, Ann Wilson of Monroe, Mich. and Ellen Channer of Somerville, S.C.; a brother, Calvin Floyd of Corpus Christi, Texas; nine grandchildren, Steve Floyd, LaDonna Ivey, Michael McClenney, Derrick Floyd, Lisa Frazier, Jeremy Floyd, Alicia Floyd, Vicky Floyd, and Jessica Floyd; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Lizzie Bell Rogers Floyd.
