HUDSON - Jean E. Jensen, 78, of Hudson, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, following a heart attack.

She was born Jan. 5, 1929, in Voorhies, daughter of Carl and Mina Whannel Jensen. She married Bernard L. Jensen on April 25, 1953, in Hudson.

Mrs. Jensen graduated from Hudson High School in 1947 and had worked in the offices at Rath Packing Co., John Deere, American Soybean Association and Cedar Rapids Bookkeeping Services, retiring in 1986.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sherri (Paul) Hernandez of East Moline, Ill.; two sons, Bruce (Jill) of Waterloo and Randy of Iowa City; eight grandchildren, Justin, Benjamin and Nicholas Jensen, Emily, Ross and Lee Jensen and Jeannie and Alex Hernandez; a sister, Maxine Beck of Hudson; and two brothers, Dale Jensen of Elk Run Heights and Richard "Buzz" (Barb) Jensen of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Don, Max and Jim Jensen.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, with burial in Hudson Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
