WERE WEDDED 67 YEARS:
GO TO BEYOND TOGETHER
For sixty-seven years William and Rebecca Woodring spent a happy married life at their home in Gaston. On Monday the Angel of Death called at the home and summoned Mrs. Woodring to the beyond. Grief stricken by the death of his wife Mr. Woodring sank rapidly and his death occurred yesterday morning shortly after 11 o'clock. Mr. Woodring was 87 years old and his wife was 88, they having spent most of their lives in Delaware County.
Mr. Woodring was born in Pennsylvania and came to Indiana when he was 8 years old. Mrs. Woodring was a native of Virginia(West Virginia was not a state at this time), coming to Delaware County when quite young. They are survived by two daughters, Mrs. Emma Petty of Fresno, Cal., and Mrs. A. L. Sallis of Fowlerton, and one son, Frank of Gaston. Mr. and Mrs. Woodring were highly respected residents of Gaston and bore a wide acquaintance. Funeral services over both bodies will be conducted at the Methodist Church in Gaston at 10 o’clock Saturday morning. Burial will be made in the Thompson Cemetery.
