Wilson O. Alexie, 79, died April 29, 1997, at the Wesley Rehabilitation and Care Center in Seward. A funeral was at the Seward Funeral Home. Mr. Alexie's nephew, the Rev. August K. Alexie, officiated. Visitation was before the service beginning. Burial followed at the Seward Cemetery.
Mr. Alexie was born Oct. 11, 1917, in Alaska. He was a member of the Moravian Church. His family said, ''Wilson was a very quiet person. He loved to fish and hunt. He really loved children. He showed it through his actions when we brought our children to see him and some years later when we brought our grandchildren. He would say, very audibly, 'so many children.' ''
Mr. Alexie is survived by five nephews; one niece; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Arrangements were handled by the Anchorage Funeral Home.
