In 1860 (Age: 21) he was living in Greenbrier, Virginia with his wife and children. He was listed as a private in the Cvil War. At age 31 (1870) he was living at Irish Corner (Ronceverte), Greenbrier, West Virginia. In 1880 he was still head of household living in Irish Corner (age 41).
He passed away June 11, 1895 at West Virginia and buried in the Morgan Cemetery at Ronceverte.

On Tuesday last, the 11th inst, at his home in Irish Corner district, Mr Noah R Morgan dropped dead of apoplexy while milking his cows. He had just risen from a cow, lifted his hands to his head, uttered an exclamation, and dropped backward dead. He had a slight stroke of apoplexy about three years ago. He was an excellent Confederate soldier, a good man, an exemplary citizen and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. He was 54 years old and leaves a widow and eight children.
