Mrs Balch was born in Gunter and graduated from North Texas State University. She taught school for 30 years prior to her retirement in 1960. She was a member of the Christian Church.

Pallbearers: Guy Neil Wooten, Robert Lee Epperson, Hulon Cheatham, Joe Bodovsky, John Davidson, John Wallace Blair, Cass Reasor and Dan McKnight Jr.
