Mrs Aldrich passed away at her home on Thursday evening, Oct 16, at the age of 88. She was born in Smithtown on July 16, 1859, the daughter of Charles Herman and Laura (Wells) Hallock who later moved to Northville. She was a devoted member of the Sound Avenue Congregational Church which she attended up to two weeks ago and a member of the M B Society. She was kind neighbor and devoted mother, always interested in any good work. She always enjoyed attending the Old Landing Club at the Sound and was present three weeks ago. She was a great lover of flowers and used to spend much time in her garden as long as she was able. She is survived by two daughters and a son, Mrs Laura May Young of Riverhead, Herman Elisha and Miss Mary Edith Aldrich of Roanoke; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
