From the LaFollette Press, Thursday, May 27, 1982:

James Edward Barclay, 65 of Jellico, died Saturday at the Baptist Hospital in Knoxville.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Barclay; three sons, Thomas Edward Barclay of Jellico, James Howard Barclay of Savannah, Ga., and William Butch Barclay of Greenwood, Ind.; four grandchildren, Leilani Ann Barclay, William Butch Barclay, Jr., Lyle Neal and James Justin Barclay; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Cobb of Ellijay, Ga., and Mrs. Hugh Bolling of Ballground, Ga.; a brother, Frank Barclay of Cummings, Ga.

The funeral was Monday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Bridge officiating. Burial was in Jellico Cemetery. Ellison Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
