Mr. Jordan , a Charlotte native, was a retired Tompkins-Johnston Plumbing
Co. vice president and estimator. He was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 96. At his church he was a member of Dowd Maye Bible class, a
former steward and served on the church board. He was a World War II Army
veteran and a member of American Legion Post 400.
Survivors are his wife, Ruth; daughters, Mrs. Donald Kanipe of Gainesville, Fla., Mrs. Rosemary Knight of Richmond; brother, John Jordan ; sister, Mrs.
Annie Baker; four grandchildren.
