Harold Theodore Dishion

1927 - 2017

Ted Dishion (Papa) left behind a cherished legacy when he passed away at his home on Saturday October 14, 2017 at the age of 90. Ted was man of simplicity and tradition, a true patriarch. A beloved source of wisdom and advice, he greatly impacted the lives of all who were close to him. Ted was a humble man of many passions and extraordinary talent - builder, artist, carpenter, wood carver, fisherman, dog-lover and expert back-scratcher. He was as hard working and meticulous at 90 as he was in his youth. Ted was born in Los Angeles, California on August 13, 1927 to Harold and Bonnie Dishion. After serving his country in the US Navy during WWII, he joined the LA County Fire Department and eventually became Fire Captain. He is survived by his wife Beverly, daughters Pam Brasseal and Jo-Nell Glouner, sons Mark Hendrickson and Bruce Dishion, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and his dog Fred. He is preceded in death by daughter Pam Bumgarner and son Dennis Dishion. Flag ceremony will be held at Station 24 in Palmdale on Saturday October 28 at 10:30 am.
