Obituary from gilbertmemorialpark.com:

Glenna Louise Bills Jensen, 96, passed peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2024.

She was born June 18, 1927, in Payson Utah to Clara Marcell Loveless Bills and Robert Leland Bills. She was the youngest of five, Howard, Ray, Bobbie, Margaret, and Glenna. Glenna's mother died when she was a year and a half old. A year later, Robert married Amy Christensen. Glenna grew up during the depression. They didn't have much, but her father was a farmer and they always had food from the garden and meat from hunting. When she was eleven, her father and Amy divorced and she moved to Spanish Fork, Utah, to live with her older brother, Howard, and his wife, Evelyn.

Her brothers all served in World War II. Her brother, Howard, was shot in his left hand and he spent months in the hospital. She married her high school sweetheart, Fred Jensen, just before he went into the Navy. After the war, they moved to Salt Lake City where Fred attended and graduated from the University of Utah. Glenna worked to help put him through school. In raising their family and to advance Fred's career, they lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, San Diego, California, Rapid City, South Dakota, Phoenix, Arizona, Cocoa, Florida, Kansas City, Kansas, and Saudi Arabia before retiring in Gilbert, Arizona. In Florida he worked for TWA on the space program. They took full advantage of flight privileges and traveled the world.

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they served in the Mesa Temple for several years and served a mission to Portland, Oregon. Fred passed away on June 22, 2017. They were married for 72 years.

She is survived by her four children: Cheryl (David) Swain, JoAnn (Gary) Edman, Nancy (David) Osborne, Fred (Diane) Jensen, 16 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She loved them all.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM with the viewing preceding at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4629 East Guadalupe Road, Gilbert, AZ .
