Don Cordle, of Lancaster, passed away surrounded with the love of his family on July 30, 2022 at Fairfield Medical Center. Don was born on May 11, 1936 to the late Gertie and Thaddeus Cordle. Don was a life-long resident of Fairfield County. He graduated from Lancaster High School in 1954.
Don served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer under the 404 th Military Police Company 4th Armored Division. On October 16, 1960, he married the love of his life. He leaves his wife and daughter.
Don retired as general manager from Lancaster Electro Plating where he work for 47 years.
Growing up, he enjoyed farming with his grandparents, Charles and Maggie Pearse. Don attended Lancaster First Church of the Nazarene. Don was a member of the American Rose Society and Lancaster Rose Club. He also enjoyed photography. Don was a good neighbor and friend to many.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Janet (Robert) Hickman; and parents.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11 AM in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. Burial will follow with military honors in Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster.
