Norma Esther Davis, 83, of Swansboro, formally of Elizabethtown, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Viola Ward; husband, Willie Dalton Davis; grandson, Danny Bradford; granddaughter, Poppy Fowler; sister, Dorothy Deal, brother, Bobby Oscar Ward and son-in-law, Robert Aycock.

Esther leaves behind two sons: Timmy Davis and wife Marsanna of Hubert, Keith Davis of Bladenboro; two daughters: Julia Aycock of Swansboro, Phyllis Kessler of Dublin; ten grandchildren: Roxanne Hill and husband Clay, Robert Aycock, Jr. and wife Jessica, Shane Aycock, Jeremy Aycock, Marsha Robeson, Jennifer Sherwood, Amber Barrett and husband Michael, Dakota Barfield, Preston Davis, Alysa Aycock and fifteen great-grandchildren: Aerial, Elexis, Nathan, Gage, Sarah, William, Victoria, Jadon, Denia, Saedie, Mabel, Josh, John, Kai, Easton and Taylor.


Esther loved her family very much and was always there for them. Some of her hobbies included: crocheting, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, talking on the phone, and keeping up with her family and friends. Esther's sweet spirit will be greatly missed.


The family will receive friends from 5-6pm on Sunday, June 14th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 15th at 1pm in the Davis Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
