DEATH CLAIMS NELLIE SIBBETT
Nellie Olive Broadbent Sibbett, 68, lifelong Star Valley resident of Thayne, died Sept. 1, 1976 at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah of complications following surgery.
Funeral services were held Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. in the Thayne Ward LDS Chapel, with Counselor Ralph Haderlie conducting. Burial was in the Thayne Cemetery.
She was born March 27, 1908 at Thayne, Wyo. to Benjamin and Agnes Broadbent. Her early youth was spent at Thayne except for one year she lived at Nampa, Idaho. She attended local schools for nine years.
She worked as a clerk in Charles Haderlie's store in Thayne and was employed at the Star Valley Swiss Cheese Co plant at Thayne.
She married Donald Glenn Sibbett Aug. 15, 1930 at Soda Springs, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple Aug. 19, 1955. They resided at Thayne, Etna, Bedford and Auburn before returning to Thayne in 1972.
Positions she held in the LDS Church included YWMIA secretary; Relief Society visiting teacher; Primary teacher; and she was an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Survivors include her husband; sons and daughters, Glenn Duane Sibbett, Idaho Falls; Mrs. Mac (Agnes) Corsi, Sandy, Utah; Mrs. Thomas (Genevieve) Jackson, Ashton, Idaho, Benjamin Sibbett, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Clayton B. Sibbett, Evanston, Wyo.; brother and sisters, Mrs. Frank (Keturah) Moultrie, Salmon, Idaho; Mrs. Delbert (Chloe) Wright and Dondald Broadbent, Thayne, Wyo.; 17 grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were three sisters and one brother.
