David L. Martin, the eldest child born to the late Leonidas and late Rossetta Martin, Sr. on March 22, 1938. On July 27, 2023, he ascended to join his beloved, Evyonne and his siblings: Lorretta Wade, Leonidas Martin, Jr. and Kenneth Martin.

He was a native Washingtonian and the product of the D.C. Public School System, graduating from Cardozo High school in 1956. He attended Howard University and became a licensed architect (American Institute of Architects of America, AIA). His career began with Guilani & Associates in Washington, DC where he thrived working on projects at Reagan National airport; and made wonderful live long friends. He concluded his career at Amtrak. He had relocated his family to Philadelphia when the Engineering Department moved to Philadelphia in 1985. After retirement, he was always busy. If you were ever looking for him, you could always find him puttering in the yard, gardening, sketching designs or working the numbers of the family budget. He and his wife, Evyonne spent their later years residing in Fairlawn, Ohio with Michelle, Bryant and son, Brennan. Where they were lovingly, devotedly, and proficiently cared for them.
