Mrs. Kennedy was well-known in the Warsaw community for her unselfish civic work and church membership. She was active in the organization of Presby Pre-School, was a longtime volunteer with Heartline Pregnancy Center, volunteered with Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, and was a member of the Tri-Kappa Sorority. She was honored by Grace College on June 2, 1983, when she was granted a Certificate of Award for Achievement in Behavioral Science. A longtime resident of Wabash County, Mrs. Kennedy was employed by Sears Roebuck and Company for many years.

She married DeVon M. Lee on April 21, 1935.
Married James Roser, August 28, 1953, who was killed in a traffic accident in 1958; and Byron C. Kennedy on December 23, 1960.
