Henry L. Bond
Henry L. Bond, 80, of 122 Oak St., Wilkes-Barre, died Tuesday afternoon in Mercy Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Feb. 14, 1906, a son of the late Charles and Ella Krebs Bond, he a graduate of Coughlin High School.
For a number of years, he owned and operated a grocery store in the Lee Park section of Hanover Township. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre, and prior to his retirement he served as its sexton for 25 years. Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Woodring;- son, Donald, Pinebrook, N.J.; daughter, Mrs. George (Doris) Renoe, Lee Park; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Thursday at 10:30 from Luther M.
Kniffen Funeral Home, 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, with Rev. Charles J. Hooker, pastor of Westminster Church, officiating. Interment in Oaklawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.
