Elizabeth :
Oldest of 9 children and closely devoted to her home and family, Mrs Elizabeth Weindorf Owen: 91 died Wednesday afternoon in the home of her daughter, Mrs Grace Ferguson Kenny, 3922 Elmwood.

Mrs Owen had been in fairly good health until about a week ago when she fell and broke her arm, shoulder, and wrist,. Since then she had gradually weakened.

The Life long native of Erie was skilled at crocheting and many of her pieces are cherished by her family as heirlooms. The role of being just a good old fashion, devoted mother was her closest diversion, family and friends said of her.

Mrs Owen was the daughter of the late John and Theresa Weindorf. She was born here May 26, 1865, and could remember her parents speaking of Lincoln and the days of the civil war and his untimely death on that fateful night in Ford's theater in Washington.

Her husband, Milton H. Owen, preceeded her in death more than 30 years ago. He was a machinist.

Besides Mrs Kenny, she also is survived by 2 sons, Milton H Owen, ERIE; David Owen, TUCSON AZ; 2 sisters, Mrs Grace Bennett and Mrs Clara Hartman, both of ERIE; 4 grandchildren and 10 great grand children.

Friends mat call From 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 10pm Thursday & Friday at the Cluster A Schaal Funeral home, 33 W. 9th, She will be interred at ERIE Cemetery
