F. LOUIS ABADIE JR.

A retired Allied Chemical supervisor with more than 30 years of service and resident of Baton Rouge, he died Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, in Baton Rouge. He was 81 and a native of Vacherie. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, and 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Monday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine, at 10 a.m. Monday, celebrated by the Rev. Michael Jung, O.S.B. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by wife, Thelma Rome Abadie, Baton Rouge; a daughter and son-in-law, Alice "Rezzie" and J.T. Meyer, Baton Rouge; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Carol Caracci Abadie, Roswell, Ga .; six sisters, Lorraine Haydel, Charleston, S.C., Melba Langlois, New Orleans, Verina Gulotta, Plaquemine, Kathleen Chauvin, Edgard, Helena Boudreaux, Metairie and Marjorie Abadie, Vacherie; and four grandchildren, Shannon and Melissa Abadie, Monica and Michelle Meyer. Preceded in death by parents, Francois Louis Sr. and Cecile Alice Tregre Abadie; and two brothers, Lawrence and Vernon Abadie.
