Agnes S. Matey,72, of 134 Center St., Hanover section of Nanticoke, died Sunday in Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
She was born in Nanticoke and was a life long
Hanover section, a daughter of the late Andrew and Stella Michalski Buczkowski. She attended Nanticoke schools and was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Nanticoke. She and her husband, John, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 6.
Brothers: Vincent, Michael, John, and Thomas; sisters: Frances Antonoff, Leona Kozmoski, Anne Krasson, and Rose Balchus preceded her in death.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters, Patricia and Alice, at home; brother, Dr. Jospeh T. Buckey, Mountaintop; sister, Mary Kozmoski, Florida.
Private funeral services will be held from the
Thomas E. Buczkowski Funeral Home, 210 Pine St., Hanover section of Nanticoke, with Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Trinity Church. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.
