Helen worked for a brief time at the "Stanley Company" of Chambersburg.
After her marriage to Fulton Lane Gsell, on June 26, 1937, in Washington County Maryland, by Rev. Berry Plummer, she helped her husband with his business.
Helen was the mother of two sons, Charles Richard Gsell, and William Lane Gsell.
Helen and Fulton lived in a home on Marsh Road and when they decided to build a newer one story home, they built it on the same property and literally had the older two story home moved down the road on an empty lot.
Helen was loved by her family including her 46 nieces and nephews.
Her husband predeceased her as well as her oldest son "Dick". She was survived by her youngest son "Bil" and three grandchildren, Kathy, Richard, and Debbi, and great-grandchildren, Justin, Megan, Brandon, Ryan, Nathan, Benjamin, Sara.
