Dr. Johnny Nicely is a retired pharmacist from the Village Pharmacy after having been called to open it in the CMC some 20 years ago. John is also an ordained minister; he served the Advent Christian Church over 30 years. He has led and participated in numerous mission trips to Honduras, Cuba and the Bahamas and brought them thousands of pairs of flip-flops and underwear, as well as much needed medicine. He has also led efforts to feed inner city children food for the body as well as food for the soul.

John and his wife, Cathy, enjoy traveling and camping with children and grandchildren. John is a collector of old things. He has fossils and medical tools dating back to Biblical times. He is also a collector of items related to the early space program and has enjoyed the opportunity to showcase his collection at our public library. John coauthored a book with his daughter, I Hate Fishing Worms, and used proceeds from the sale of the book to purchase a water fountain for Wee Care.

John is an aspiring artist in the Village Artists Guild and works in acrylic painting. John's wife is also a member of the Village Artists Guild and plans to become active when she retires from the Suwannee County schools soon.
