Ben Amos, 45, area ranch hand, died Friday in the McAlester Regional Hospital after a brief illness. His home was on the McAlester, Route 3. He was born Feb. 9, 1933 in Fairfax. Survivors include his mother, Edna Amos, Crowder; four sisters, Anna Lee Mitchell and Juanita Amos of Crowder, Peggy Jean Stromski of Idabel and Betty Jo Huskey of Plano, Texas; three brothers, Kenneth Amos of McAlester, and Eugene and Paul Amos of Silver City, N.M., three daughters and one son. Funeral services are set for Monday at 2 p.m., in the chapel of the Mills Funeral Home. Rev. Pete Butler will officiate. Interment will follow in the Massey Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roy Jameson, Max Kinyon, Ricky Smith, Jack Jameson, Bob Banks and Buddy Leak.
