Alden was raised near Modale Iowa in the 1860's through 1880's. He rambled around a few time. He married Margaret Ritchison around 1886. It looks like they may have lost a previous child or children between 1887 and 1889. Their first living daughter was Ruby May moore b: 1890.7 more followed including Sam Moore II born 1903 and Edna Moore born 1906 . both born in Kalispell MT.
He was alive at least to Dec 1917. His homestead claim for December 1917 is valid. What reinforces this claim was his biological son worked 2-3 miles away from this claim, at another ranch, in 1920. His son Sam Moore was 17 in 1920 and all evidence shows this was his son. Sam worked for the James Griffin ranch in 1920. Alden homestead was in sect 24 mostly of t20n, R 64 w near fox creek on road 16 , Goshen county Wy. Alden S Moore either died some time between late 1917 and 1920 or he left his son or his son left him. Nevertheless I know Alden had 2 more daughter in 1911 and 1913 with Lillie Rains Bonham Moore. One was named Martha Jane born in 1911. The other was Abbie Moore Thompson Gutshall of Lohrville Iowa area. My dad met Abbie around the 1970's and 80's. Abbie lived to be about 97 years old. Her new step father, John Piercy, cared for Abbie and Abbie's mom and siblings. John , strangely as it is , is also my biological great grand uncle on great grandpa Piercy side. Alden was my great grand uncle on my great grandma Moore's side. John Piercy and Lillie Rains Bonham Moore got married around December 1924 so evidence shows Lillie bonham Moore was abandoned or divorced from Alden Moore by 1924.
