Alfred A. Basham, 79, of Packwood, WA, formerly of Lashmeet, died Monday, 7 Jul 2014.

Born 17 Feb 1935 at Lashmeet, he was the son of the late Melvin Basham and Lydia Hurst Basham.


Mr. Basham was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in Korea. He was a former employee of Mercer Glass. For the last seven years he was a school bus driver for the city of Puyallup, Washington.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie Young Basham; five brothers, Thomas Melvin Basham, Frank Basham, Bob Basham, James Basham and Lacy Anderson; and one sister, Mary Holt.


Survivors include one son, Paul Alan Basham and his wife Susan; four brothers, Eldridge Basham and his wife Pearl, Lowell Basham and his wife Shirley, Luther Basham and Gary Basham; three grandchildren, April Basham, Suzie Morin and Kyle Martin; five great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Tyler, Noah, Alan and Gavin; and several nieces and nephews.


Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, 16 Jul 2014 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with the Rev. Ralph Calfee officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, 16 Jul 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.bailey-kirk.com.
