Wiley Barlow, 95, went home to be with Jesus and entered the gates of Paradise on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Mr. Barlow was born July 11, 1928, to Wiley and Lillie Barlow in Cochran Ga. Later as a child, his family would relocate to Baxley, Ga. As a young man he helped on his parent's farm, and later would leave to help build Liberty Ships in Brunswick Ga for WW2. As a young adult, he returned to the family farm where he would meet and fall in love with his neighbor, Marilyn, whom he married in 1949. He then became an Iron Worker and worked throughout the southeast for a few years. They eventually settled in Burke County 60 years ago, making it their home. He would go on to do grading and logging until he could no longer work. He was also one the founding members of McBean Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; all of his 11 brothers and sisters; and his son in law, Urban "Urbie Jack" Lively, we are sure they are all having quite the family reunion.

Surviving are his wife and the love of his life for 75 years, Marilyn Barlow; son, Don Barlow; daughters and son in laws, Sharon "Sherry" Stewart (Pat), Susan "Susie Q" Lively, and Dina Waldrop (Jason); daughter in law, Pamela Sue Evans; granddaughters, Shannon Lively and Ka-Lyn Waldrop; grandsons (which were his "Sugar Boys"), Patrick Stewart (Joelle), Art Lively (Amy), Sean Barlow (Suzanne), Russell Barlow, Matthew Stewart, Brent Barlow (Ann), Nicholas Waldrop, and Collin Waldrop; great grandchildren, Alexandria, Maisey, Rilyn, Rebecca, Rachel, Saylor, Issy, Colton, Wiley Jo (his namesake), Kingsley, Payden, Liza Lane, Amelia Rose, and Birdie; and many nieces and nephews, who loving called him "Uncle Jr".

He enjoyed his dogs, Westerns, and being outside but mostly he loved to read his Bible and pray. He also loved to tell people about Jesus and how to get saved. His biggest desire these last two months was to go home and see Jesus. We are sure that Saturday morning, Jesus was waiting for him and told him "Good job my good and faithful servant, give me a big hug and go run around Heaven in that new body you got."

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, April 8 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, April 9 at McBean Baptist Church with Rev. Toby Rowell and Rev. Wayne Todd officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be his Grandsons.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the men of McBean Baptist Church.
