Died of Paralysis
Stricken with paralysis last July, and constantly failing in health since then, Warren M. Johnson died last Monday night. About a month ago he suffered the last stroke and since that time was in a perfect helpless condition. Yesterday afternoon the funeral services was held at the Christian church conducted by Rev. J. H. Allen of Bunceton, and remains interred in the Masonic cemetery. Being city attorney, respect to his memory was shown by the six of the city officers, Mayor W. R. Patterson, Aldermen A. Schmidt, H. P. Weyland, Thos. Williams and W. D. Woods, attending as pallbearers. The deceased was born in Hillsboro, Illinois, May 22, 1855, being 51 years, 5 months and 7 day's old. His father Wm. F. Johnson will be remembered in this community as he practiced law in this city many years, coming to this city at about the close of the war. In 1880 the deceased was married to Miss Annie Stephens. She and four children, F.ed, Cecil, Murle and Warren R, together with his three brothers, F. L., of Corsicana, Texas, L. V., of Bunceton and Douglas, survive him. The Times is joined by all in this city in sympathy for the bereaved.
