Carolyn S. Petro, 55, of Road 150W died at 1:01 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Petro was a member of Walker Chapel and Ladies of the Moose and was formerly employed at Cosco.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Roy Hendershot officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.

Carolyn was born Jan. 21, 1952 in Columbus, the daughter of Richard L. and Naomi R. Ritter Merriman. She married David E. Petro July 10, 1993.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, of Columbus; daughters, Melissa Meredith of Columbus, Lori (Tony) Henderson of Columbus and Kim (Clayton) Oliphant of Brown County; brothers, Rick (Pam) Merriman and Ronnie (Karen) Merriman, both of Columbus; sisters, Barbara Marshall, Janet (Frank) Farley and Pam (Roger) Lucas, all of Columbus, Patty Merriman of Seymour and Louella (Dan) Brumfield of North Vernon; grandchildren, Tyler and Taylor Henderson, Kayla, Logan, Javen and Seth Oliphant.
Mrs. Petro was preceded in death by her father and brothers-in-law, Dennis Marshall and Rodney Sprague.

Burial was at Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rick Merriman, Roger Lucas, Rex Littiken, Tony Henderson, Clayton Oliphant and Frank Farley. Honorary pallbearers were Tyler Henderson, Ronnie Merriman and Tabitha Howard.
