Charlotte C. Heffner, 83, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, in her home.


Charlotte was born on Dec. 13, 1919, in Sunbury, the daughter of the late Harry and Laura (Neurer) Walshaw. On Nov. 26, 1943, She married Marlin V. Heffner, who survives.


She graduated from Sunbury High School. Charlotte formerly worked at Woolworth's in Sunbury. She attended Paxinos Bible Church. Charlotte enjoyed her flowers and gardening in her yard. She also enjoyed and interacted with the children in the neighborhood.


Surviving in addition to her husband, are two children; Douglas J. of Sunbury and Bonnie S. Reichley of Watsontown, three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one brother; Harry Walshaw of Stanford North Carolina, and nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by three brothers; Clyde, Marcine, and James, and three sisters; Margaret Walshaw, Mary Gebhart, and Bernice Stauffer.


There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke's Cemetery, Sunbury. There will be viewing or visitation.
