She wasn't perfect, but she did her best. And her best was good enough.

Elizabeth Matilda "Tillie" (Clark) Evers

Apirl 16, 1934 – March 27, 2024

Elizabeth Matilda "Tillie" (Clark) Evers, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother died suddenly on Wednesday, March 27th of natural causes, in Panama City, Florida, her home for the past 2.5 years. She was 89 years old.

Tillie was born in Waterbury, Connecticut to Harry Joseph Clark, Sr. and Dorothy Mae (Higgins) Clark, the eighth of ten children. Tillie married Harold Arthur "Bud" Evers, Sr. in Waterbury, Connecticut on May 29, 1952. During their fifty-two years of marriage they lived on ranches in many western states and in Florida. They were long time residents of Cottage Grove, Oregon. Tillie was a homemaker and held many jobs over the years, factory worker, postal carrier, census taker, and hairdresser, to name a few. What she loved most was her family and where there was a need, she always found a way. She wasn't perfect, but she did her best. And her best was good enough.

Private services will be held with close family in attendance.

Tillie was preceded in death by her husband, daughter-in-law Debbie, parents, four sisters, and four brothers. She is survived by her two sons, two daughters, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one sister, and many nieces and nephews. (Names of the living omitted to respect their privacy.)

She wasn't perfect, but she did her best. And her best was good enough.
