BIOGRAPHY: Gpa Fred Allen had the same breakfast for the last 20 years of his life. A boiled egg with a little salt and butter and some toast.

  He loved astronomy and had a 4 foot long telescope and subscribed to astronomy magazines. He was a long time member of the Unitarian Universalists and the United Nation Association.

  He took piano lessons when he was over 70. He loved tennis for many many decades.

  Tonsillectomy age 5 Appendix out age 13.

Periodic ulcers beginning at age 18 culminating in surgery in 1969. No problems since.

Heart block 1978. Wore out one pacemaker. And got a new one.

 Gall bladder operation 1990. Two hernia operations in his life.

Went to Stanford University.

When Geri Allen was turning 18, Fred Allen, her father, went to the register place to vote and got the card to fill out for Geri. But when he handed it to her, it was 95% already filled out and the Democrat box was checked. (^:

In 1969, Fred had a penpal with a Japanese high school student. Not sure if they met on their Japan trip though.....
