In Memoriam.

William Asa Chambers was born October 14, 1883, near Eureka, Kansas. He died at his home near Liberty Wednesday night of last week. He was married to Miss Doda Thompson. To this union were born five children, four of whom are still living, the eldest having died at birth. He was converted some fourteen years ago at Severy, Kansas, and united with the United Brethren church. Two years ago, while the revival was being held in the United Brethren church in Dearing, he consecrated his life anew to the service of the Master. He has lived a consistent Christian life before all who knew him.

Mr. Chambers was also a member of the I. O. O. F. and Masonic lodges of Coffeyville. He has always been an obedient and loving son, a kind husband and a dutiful father. He is survived by his parents, Rev. and Mrs. J. T. Chambers, wife and four children, namely, Thelma, John Melvin, Wilda and Louis Nadine Chambers; one brother Elva of Petrolia, Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Lynch of Neodesha, Kansas, and Misses Estella and Belle Chambers, who reside with their parents in Coffeyville. Besides these near relatives he leaves numerous others. May the Heavenly Father comfort and sustain all in this sad hour. —Transcribed by #(47602571). - 1/23/21
