William David Jones, son of Irena and S. B. Jones, was born October 27, 1857, and died August 14, 1931, at his home in Centerville, aged 73 years, 3 months and 17 days, after having lived his entire lifetime in Appanoose county.
He united in marriage to Margaret Elizabeth Corbly March 21, 1878. To this union was born one child, Artie Mecia, who preceded the father in death August 14, 1906.
He is survived by his wife Margaret and one sister, Mrs. Abigail Lister of Plano, three nephews, Clyde and Emery Lister of Plano, and Charles Lister of Cannon City, Colo., also one niece, Alma Anderson, of Centerville.
Funeral services were held at the home and at the Jones cemetery (sic) officiated by the Rev. H. F. York, formerly pastor at Mystic.
