Married Wilford Cunningham February 18, 1849 in Harrison County, Indiana.

Children: Zachariah (Zachary) Taylor, Elizabeth Ellen, Martha Ann, Francis Marion, Amy Louisa, Rachelle Catherine, Fanny Isabella, Isaac Hayes, Frederic, Thomas Robert, Charles.

Wilford and Virginia were the first of the Cunningham family to settle in Knox County, Missouri in 1851 from Harrison County, Indiana, followed later by his parents and family.

Virginia was the oldest daughter of Amos B Funk and Cathereine Brown Funk.

This notice of death was found in the Memphis Reveille on April 10, 1902:
Mrs. Wilford Cunningham died suddenly at her home in Rutledge last Sunday morning, aged about seventy-five years. She was in the act of putting on her shoes when she was suddenly stricken with either apoplexy or heart trouble and expired sitting in the chair before the closest neighbor arrived. Her husband passed away in a similar manner about two years ago and now she has gone to join him in the spirit land. Funeral services were held Tuesday, after which the body was laid to rest.

Mrs. Cunningham Dies Suddenly

Mrs. Wilt Cunningham, of Rutledge died suddenly last Sunday morning. Mrs. Cunningham arose about the usual time, and was dressing, when she sank back in her chair and died almost instantly. Her daughter, who had been out in the yard feeding the chickens came in just as she sat down in the chair. The daughter ran across the street to the residence of A. E. McQuoid and before Mrs. McQuoid arrived, she died.

Mrs. Cunningham was about 73 years old and had lived in Rutledge about 10 years: she, with her husband moving there from Knox County. Her husband preceded her to the grave almost 2 years ago. He also died suddenly. She leaves a family of 5 sons and 4 daughters, all of whom attended the funeral which was held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. The remains were interred at Cunningham Cemetery.
