She married Frederick Damon in 1945 and they had six children. The Damons lived in Bethlehem, PA for several years before relocating in the Kansas City area in 1959 when Fred was transferred to the Western Electric plant in Lee's Summit. They were active members of St. Catherine's parish.

Alice was widowed in 1970. She worked for several years at First Continental Bank in Overland Park and ran a catering business with her sister Carol Amos.

In 1985 she married her childhood friend, Nicholas Dice. They moved to Florida, living first in Jupiter and then in Melbourne Beach. Alice devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed traveling, reading, bird watching, and spoiling her grandchildren. Her caring and generous spirit will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Paul; her first husband, Fred; her father, Joseph; her brother, Walter and her sisters, Antoinette and Carol.

Survivors include her husband, Nicholas; mother, Anna; sister, Jeanette Helwig and brother, Albert Matulis. She is also survived by her children and their spouses, Frederick and Carole Damon, Mark and Marianne Damon, Carol and Jeffrey Elmer, Gary and Dana Damon, and Robert and Kelly Damon; twelve grandchildren; many stepchildren and grandchildren; and friends.

A visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd St. in Lee's Summit. Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Leukemia Society or Wayside Waifs.
