Loving mother and grandmother

Funeral services for Mrs. Relius J. Broussard, 82, the former Aline Landry, were held Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Langlois officiating. Entombment was in the Beau Pre Mausoleum in Jeanerette.

A native of Iberia Parish and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Broussard died at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at New Iberia Manor South.

She owned and operated Chink Broussard's Cafe for eight years. She also served six months in the WACS.

Mrs. Broussard is survived by her husband, Relius "Chink" J. Broussard, of New Iberia; one son, Relius "Joey" Broussard Jr. and his wife, Cathy, of Lafayette; four daughters, Evelyn B. Smith of New Iberia, JoAnn B. Breaux and her husband, Breck, of Loreauville, Toni B. Valenti, of New Iberia, Renee B. Guidry and her husband, Bill, of New Iberia, astepdaughter, Rosalie B. Roy of New Iberia, 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emilian Landry and Zulmae Broussard Landry; five brothers, Whitney, Elwood, Camille Sr., Sidney, and O'Neil Landry; three sisters, Ivy L. Champeaux, Milda L. Moore, and Odile L. Leblanc; and three grandsons, Ryan Johnson, Scott Valenti, and Troy Guidry.

Pallbearers were Michael Broussard, Heath Breaux, Billy Guidry, Nicholas Broussard, Hugh Valenti, Jonathan Guidry, and Ian Valenti.
