Byron Anthony Clarke, 48, of Las Vegas went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 8, 2008, after a brief illness.

Born in Williamsfield, Jamaica, to the late Jabez and Eva (Woolery) Clarke, he was a blackjack dealer for various casinos in Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Byron enjoyed gambling, traveling and spending time with his friends and family.

Byron leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Nathaniel Clarke; four brothers, Lloyd (Marie) Clarke, Kenneth Clarke, Duhaine (Annette) Clarke and Everton (Tasha) Clarke; four sisters, Monica (Sam) Murray, Daphne Shaw, Jennifer Clarke and Jean Ruddock; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one sister, Velma Muschette.

Services will be held at noon Saturday at Miracle Temple Church, Route 49, Millville, where friends may view two hours prior to services.

Interment will be held at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township immediately following services.

At the family's request, there will be no final viewing.

Services are entrusted to Edwards & Son Funeral Homes Inc. of Bridgeton and Salem.
