LaNae Hunting Zimmerman April 23, 1954 - October 12, 2023

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wing Mortuary - Lehi on Oct. 16, 2023.

LaNae Hunting Zimmerman, 69, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023, at her home in Lehi, Utah. She died just days after having a stroke. LaNae was born an identical twin on April 23, 1954 to Max R and Lela (Hacking) Hunting in Vernal, Utah. She attended Granite High School until her family moved to Lehi days before her senior year. She graduated from Lehi High School in 1972. She attended college at Utah Technical College in Provo.

She married Kyle R Zimmerman on April 22, 1977 in Lehi, and they were later sealed in the Provo LDS Temple. They had the blessing of bringing five beautiful children into their lives and raising them in Lehi.

From an early age LaNae enjoyed any outdoor adventure, which continued throughout her life. In her younger years she enjoyed camping, riding in the jeep, and rock hounding with her Grandpa Hacking. She spent countless summers with her Hunting family on their Diamond Mountain property above Vernal.

LaNae and Kyle enjoyed so many adventures together. They loved camping, hunting, hiking, Lake Powell and a good road trip. After having children the adventures got bigger. They purchased property in Fairview on Skyline Mountain Resort. LaNae worked hard improving the property, and the family experienced a great number of wonderful camping trips there. In 1997 they purchased a cabin at Tibble Fork, up American Fork Canyon. This was LaNae's happy place, and she spent as much time as she could there.

LaNae loved cooking and showed her love by taking food to others. She really enjoyed trying and perfecting new recipes. She was a woodworking enthusiast, had many creative ideas and no project was too overwhelming for her. LaNae was a skilled seamstress and even made the suit Kyle wore when they were married. LaNae served in many different callings and capacities in church, and made a positive impact on others.

She embraced her role as a Mother and excelled in her role as a Grandmother. She wanted to be around family any chance she could.

LaNae is survived by her husband Kyle, and their four daughters; Jessica (Rusty) Terry, Jennell (Brody) McGee, Madalyn (Colt) Nuccitelli, Whitney Zimmerman Meyer;daughter-in-law; Traci Zimmerman (Riley) Baker; 13 grandchildren; and her twin sister ReNae Hunting Yates.

LaNae was preceded in death by her beloved son Zachary K Zimmerman; her parents Max R and Lela Hunting; and her brother Boyd Hunting.
