Lyman Kendall was the third son born in Royalston, MA to Andrew Kendall Esq. and Hannah Jennings. About 3 years after the death of his father, Lyman married Diancy Ellis on 16 Feb 1833 in Royalston. Diancy was born in Royalston, MA to James Ellis and Charlotte Peck. Lyman and Diancy had 5 daughters, Charlotte and Helen were born in New Hampshire, Lucy, Mary and Delia were born in Vermont. Lyman was a farmer early in life. He moved from Montpelier Vermont, then to Worcester MA after the death of his mother, in 1851. Worcester is where his brother's widow and family resided. Soon after the family moved on to Chicago IL. where he transitioned from farming to manufacturing. Tragically Lyman died in 1867.
