Graveside services for John Franklin "Duncan" Baker, 81, of Lufkin will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in the Prarie Grove Cemetery in Diboll with Bro. Paul Mettlen officiating.

Mr. Baker was born April 26, 1932, the son of the late Ada (Meeks) and Johnny Baker, and passed away September 15, 2013 at his residence at Innovative Home.

While living in San Augustine Nursing Home, he worked as the custodian. He was most entertaining to everyone around him, loving to make them laugh. He was great at making sounds of the bulls, Bugs Bunny, Roadrunner and the Choo Choo train. His favorite color was blue.

Survivors include sisdter, Nola Faye Evans of Lufkin; brother and wife, Charles Ray Baker and Eva of Clawson; 7 nieces, Shirley Kleinik and Randy; Ann Sandoval and Rene, all of Lufkin; Susie Medina and Jesse of Rosenburg; Linda Long and Billy of Lufkin; Brenda Hough and Charlton of Lufkin; Patricia Rash and Lance of Clawson; Vicki Currie and Phillip of Hudson; nephew, James Baker and wife, Stacy of Bryan; numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews; and special great-nephew, 'Big Joe'.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Special thank you to Ann for all of the things she did for him, enhancing his life. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday morning at Gipson Funeral Home.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
