On Sunday evening, 15 October 1905, at the home of C.M. Pannell of Graham, Mr. Tom Lamar and Miss Mary McCowan were married, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Edwin D. Hamner. The groom is well-known young man of Graham and the bride is from Stamford and has been in Graham visiting relatives for a few months.
Mrs. Tom Lamar died at her home in Graham last Thursday and her remains were buried in Oak Grove on Friday. She leaves a husband, one child, an infant girl. Mr. McCowan [sic], her father, with his son and daughter, brother and sister of the deceased, arrived from Haskell County in an automobile shortly after the death. Mrs. Lamar was a member of the Christian Church, a true devoted wife and a woman who was held in the highest esteem by our people.
