"Mrs. Ivie Jane Evans, 89, of 1423 South Moore Road, died early this morning in a local hospital. Mrs. Ivie was of the Church of God faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. W. B. (Edith) Farr of East Ridge and Mrs. P. E. (Elma) Burris of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Also, several nieces and nephews are survivors.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the R. J. Coulter Chapel with the Rev. Hubert Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park with grandsons serving as active pallbearers. Funeral arrangements are by the R. J. Coulter Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace."
Ivie's children include an unnamed son (268457310), Elma (AKA Elmer) Macy Evans Burris (232321949), Ethel Viola Evans (268457209), and Edith L. Evans Farr (131868440). The death certificate showed unnamed son's mother was Ivy Evans and the father was unnamed; Larkin H. Evans was the informant. Ethel Evan's death certificate indicates her father was T. J. Evans and mother was Ivie Evans Evans. (1900 – 1930 Censuses show Ivie as single).
