Shreveport - A memorial service celebrating the life of Mildred McClaran will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, December 13th at John Calvin Presbyterian Church, 3030 Colquitt Road, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev Beth Sentell and Rev Art Vance. The family will receive visitors from 2 PM to 3 PM.
Mildred was born March 3, 1920 and passed away on December 10, 2018 at the age of 98.
She was preceded in death by her parents Abe and Julia Goodman and grandson Stephen Todd Anderson. She lived in Shreveport, LA her entire life.
She is survived by her children: Peggy Young of Haughton, LA; Jim Washburn of Little Rock, AR; Judy Gill of Little Elm, TX; Bennetta Ballew and husband Tommy of Benton, LA; and Eddie McClaran of Benton, LA. She had 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Claude Pasquier and his staff at Colonial Oaks for their care of our mother during the past year.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Grace Group Home, 115 Sherwood Drive, Benton, LA where Eddie is a resident.
