Funeral services were held for Ralph Holey at the North Viking Lutheran Church in Maddock. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Rudolph (Ralph) Holey was born in Spring Grove, MN to parents Helge P. and Guri Oldsdatter Holey. His family moved to the Flora, ND to establish their farming operation in May 1902. Ralph lived and worked at his parents farm until his marriage to Josephine Sullivan on 7 Nov 1925 at Minnewaukan, ND. Following their marriage the couple moved to a farmstead near Flora to farm. They moved into Maddock and Ralph worked as a railroad section hand, farm laborer and creamery employee. Mrs. Holey died in 1972.
Survivors include his brother, Henry Holey of New Rockford, ND.
Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, seven sisters and three brothers. His parents spelled their name HOLE but the rest of their children spelled it Holey which is the correct Norwegian sound of their name. They are buried at Viking Lutheran Cemetery which is south of Maddock.
