Dee Merrill Wolslegel, 76, formally of Toledo, WA, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at home in Centralia. Dee was born July 28, 1937 to Burley and Marie (Visser) Wolslegel in Sedro Woolley where he grew up, graduating from Sedro Woolley High School in 1955. He earned his Associates Degree from South Puget Sound Community College. Dee was employed as a Washington State Trooper for 30 years, and, as a civilian working for the WSP for 8 years, retiring in 1998.
During a routine traffic stop, while employed by the state patrol, Dee met the love of his life, Marie (Gould) Kerlee and they were married on June 20, 1975 in Carnation, WA.
Dee was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed all kinds of music, especially country and bluegrass, and singing to the the strums of his guitar. He served as a member of the board of the Washington Bluegrass Association for many years. Above all, Dee loved and was devoted to his wife and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Eldon Wolslegel.
